Pedestal Card

First try at making a pedestal card. I took measurements from another site but they didn't quite work so I just winged it with my own. Here is the measurements:
Base is 4 1/4" x 11
Score this piece at 5 1/2 & 8 1/4"

The top part of the car base is (pattern paper) is 4 1/4" x 5 1/2
The white mat is 4" x 5 1/4"

bottom base is 3" x 4"
white mat is 2 3/4" x 3 1/2"

I made minnie mouse from the cartridge Mickey and Friends cut at 3"
The sentiment was an embellishment I had (Friends forever)
The sentiment on the bottom I stamped from stamp sentiments TPC Studio "Playful Expressions"

I love the base color paper I used. Its from DCWV "brights pack" its a really pretty greenish blue!
If I had a decent camera you might be able to see what the paper looks like but this isn't a cheap camera but it just doesn't take close up picture well at all. I stickled the heck out of the minnie and used glossy accents on her nose and eyes. But of course I can't take a close up for you to see!!

Girly Stuff 2 page layout

Inspiration for this was based on layouts on Monique Griffith she has a great blog!
I worked on this today and not quite happy with the colors that printed out on my imagine for most of the cutouts. I try to "wing" it with the colors and really need to research some colors ahead of time and get the RGB codes but I always end up doing something and wishing I did it differently so what is new with this! I always wish I would cuttlebug things but always forget so I can find fault in everything I do. I used mosty DCWV paper. I used the paisley cartridge. I cut the dress and shirt and jeans at 4" and the blow dryer at 3", the sunglasses were 1 1/2" the owl I did at 2" and the title at 3". I still think the imagine is crazy hard with using original carts and layers. I used the "rel" dial but on this cart there is also a "button" layer and those did not follow suit with size! I sent a message to Chris at Provo Craft about this. All the other layers went fine. I blinged everything with glitter. I went glitter crazy! The whole title, the owl got it good!! I loved the color of the paper I put for the photos. The base paper was a beautiful greenish blue I wish I had used that color alittle more throughout the layout. It was cardstock from DCWV "brights" stack pack. The little journal area I probably will stamp something on the front of that. I used glossy accents on the sunglass lens but I don't think its all the way dry so it looks weird in the pics!

Pack Your bags two page layout

Inspiration for this was based on layouts on Monique Griffith she has a great blog! Here is my finished two page layout. I was going to cut more things for it but decided not to over do it! Again this is paper from My Minds Eye Good Morning Sunshine boys kit. The Lobster was cut at 2 1/4" The lifesaver ring at 2 1/2" the turtle was 2 1/2" and the suite case was 2 1/2". I used my imagine on this and I think I would surf the web for colors to put into the RGB codes because winging it was hard. The screen in small so hard to see the true color it will turn out. But overall I think the colors turned out ok.

Kates kitchen Imagine Cartridge

I love the vintage kates kitchen cartridge imagines and I got yummy as well. I want to use them to finish up some recipe books. Here are some I did yesterday when i first got my imagine. I had bought an imagine off HSN when it first launched and I was so frustrated with it I sent it back. Could never get the calibration right. I decided to give it another shot 5 months later and the setup and calibration was painless! It was perfect from the first setup calibration. All my updates have went well and I couldn't be happier! Thank you hubby!

Start to my pages with pack your bags cartridge

I love this cartridge! I guess since I love anything tropical and beachy this was a perfect cartridge to buy. I got the My minds eye good morning sunshine boy and girl kit because the paper had surf boards and cute things to scrap with the pack your bags cartridge. Here is the START to my pages but I'm not anywhere near ready to get it all together. I have to go buy some ribbons tomorrow (i have alot of seasonal ribbons but not too much in the way of everyday!) so off to Michaels tomorrow! Here are some pieces I did with my imagine today in preparation for my pages! Check back to see the finished product!

Imaginisce IBOND finally got one!

I finally got me an ibond.....I wanted it because it was pink but mainly because it was cordless. I also bought me a starter set of copic markers, pack your bags cartridge, scor tape, some new stamps, my minds eye "Good morning sunshine boy and girl kit because the papers are so cute and of course my imagine! I have been alittle busy shopping (Thank you hubby!) and not too much scrappin so now that is going to change! I will post a start to a few pages I am doing in next post!

Cooking with Cricut Green Scene Challenge

Well I know this isn't an "irish" project but I met the requirements of two shades of green, two embellishments and two pattern papers! I just didn't know what I would do with a project with leprechauns or clovers so this is something that is useful to me! Hope you enjoy it. I'm filling it up with photos from vacations and cruises we have taken. I have some cute things I have added inside that I will show once I am complete. I just realized I have quite a few "albums" in progress! I guess I need to start focusing on one and finish it. I also realized I have been scrapping alot of things but not putting pictures in them. I am going to make a point not to do that in the future. The pages have to be for a purpose or I don't need to do them! That is the whole reason I wanted to get into scrapping and I need to try to do that! I have loads of pictures just in a plastic containers that I need to get in an album. Too late to make this a resolution so I will just try to make it a point to do that. I'm sure alot of you can relate to that!!

Here is another little project i made that has two shades of green in it also! I used a Stamp by "designs by Leere'" which I love her stuff she designs for pccrafter.com also, very cute designs. The paper was from "my big idea". I made the purse template myself in Scal2. I used cute brads which I can't get a good enough pic of to hold the handle on. Be sure to visit cooking with cricut site to see the other DT members projects and enter your own! www.cookingwithcricut.blogspot.com

As you all know I have recently updated my blog entirely by myself. I really enjoyed doing this and thought it was something I would like to pursue as a side job. I just finished my friend Jenny's blog and even if I have to say so myself I think it turned out fabulous! The colors were so cute and I learned alot along the way. She is a wonderful person and I wanted to redo her blog as a nice gift for a friend. Please stop by her blog and visit her she has some wonderful projects and she has a hop going on with some great giveaways. Please tell me what you think of it!

My blog redo

I have finished my blog redo!! I made my dividers, badge, header and favicon. I really enjoyed doing this so I think I am going to perfect it a bit and maybe find a new little career redoing blogs!! I always enjoyed website design and took a class in it once but never pursued it. It was more of a hobby at that point. Now I have time on my hands and I really loved doing this so I think I will do this!! Hope you like it!!

WOW look what I did!

I made my own favicon. I cannot believe it. I'm also making (slowly) new dividers for my blog. I have been redoing it myself and learning along the way. It helps that I do understand coding as I took a class before on website design but just haven't used it in so long it took me a little bit to refresh myself. Now I am learning the proper sizes to make things and I have to say I am enjoying it. I think this is something I will continue doing. I used to enjoy working on websites. I mainly updated my business website with pictures etc. but always wanted to get more into the design aspect. Tell me what you think of the site so far!!

Retro style Kitchen Project

I really love the retro style kitchen things and last night I was sitting there sketching a little project out and started it last night at midnight!!! I cut everything by hand except for the stove I used my cricut but its all my own creation. No carts etc. I drew out the floor and then I sat and cut each one of those black tiles with my exacto knife and patience!! I used the sentiment from my Scrappy Mom's "pinch and dash" set for the "lovin' from the oven". I used Scal to cut out the Nana's Kitchen and used my glitter Cri-kits pens to write it out. I like the way it turned out!! I also used glossy accents on the knobs of the stove. You probably can't tell in pictures!  Not too bad for not using any carts etc. I think I'm going to frame it and use as wall art in my kitchen! Hope you like it!

PS I see I got my handles on one side alittle larger but hey it was midnight when I was working on it!!
