Cricut 360 Challenge #14 Welcome Baby

Welcome to the 14th Challenge on Cricut 360!! Our challenge was to make a baby card using white, pastels and embossing. I own really only one baby type cartridge and after making a few cuts with it I just wasn't happy with where it was going so I made another one. This one I utilized one of the embossing folders that coordinates with Paper Lace cart. I added the cute little giraffe from the cartridge "create a critter" and cut it at 3". I used a dimentional embellishment from a K & Company set I have. I purchased a set of these cute little baby brads from a trip to Gatlinburg to "Scrapbook warehouse" and then I also bought the paper at the same place. The paper is "Heidi Grace Designs" Fiskars paper, its called baby/flowers. I popped the white embossed paper up as well as the giraffe. Inked the edges with Powder Puff Chalk ink in "Pink Cheeks". Lately I don't like anything I do, I have struggled with ideas which used to flow out pretty easily. I guess I am in a creative slump. So hopefully you will like the card anywhoo!! Thanks for stopping by and don't forget to link up a project for a chance to win an awesome prize!!

My Crazy Hubby layout

I used pebbles from Handmade Halo and the beautiful wooden button is from there as well. The paper is Cosmo Cricket. I took the red one (On the boardwalk) and then cut pieces from another (more than fish in the sea) and inked it all with a chestnut brown. Added the adorable pebbles...(I heart them) and crazy hubby pics. I cut the lifesaver and the pants (wow was there alot of little pieces on that one!) at 3" and its from Pack Your bags Cart (yes I know I use it alot...what can I say its a fav) and its a rap!!

Quick Phone book card

I wanted to try out my hand at making one of these flowers I had seen someone use and lets just say I still need some practice with the EK success punch but the top part of the flower I master (ok that was the easiest part but hey got to give myself some kudos!) I picked up a phone book at blockbusters because who uses these dinosaurs anymore! I just gut a small strip to go across the front (of course after I adhered it down I wished I would have used the white pages for it...well that is how i roll i do it and regret it)  Added the red for some color and used my white gell pen to make some little dots. I made the "pebble" out of a glass square I had and after glueing it down it discolored underneath because of the ink running but then I thought it looks cool and "vintage" that way. The center of the flower I used a fiskars scallop punch and punched several of them, popped a brad in the center and then one layer at a time just squished it up in the middle. Once all down just unsquish (very technical terms here) and fluffed it and inked the edges. I used a stamp from Emma's stamp set "favorite sayings" (creativetimeforme.com) and dabbed a little perfect pearls on the edge and wallllah....a card i wished I would have done alittle different....so once again i mastered what I always do.....rushing and not thinking it through. I'm working on that!

Handmade Halo Projects

This is a start for a mini album I am doing to put some photos of my father in. I am making the album out of long white envelopes and covering each piece. It creates pockets to put pictures or tags etc. in. More photos to come as I start working on the inside. I love these embellishments from handmadehalo.com.au they are so beautiful. She has loads of pretty brass charms and the pebbles are my favs.

Cricut 360 Challenge #11 Heros

Once again not the best picture in the world. Still waiting on a new camera!

Ok people I really do own more cartridges than "Cricut decals" but lets face it I love this cartridge and it seems like alot of the challenges I can find something to use from this cartridge. I used the preloaded cricut decals on my expression 2 but I got to tell you I am not totally in love with this machine. Seems it just doesn't work as smoothly as the original expression. I used a heavier cardstock and cut it twice and it looked like crap...all chewed up so I had to go to a much lighter card stock to cut this image nicely.

The soldier was cut at 2.5" and I'm telling you alot of little pieces to carefully pull off of this after its cut. I didn't really care for the green I used (as I had a better green but it was heavy cardstock from DCWV). I used my stash of Cosmo Cricket paper this one is is called Halfway Cafe: Striptease (Why this name I will never know!) I cut it apart to get the pieces mostly that was americana looking. I typed the sentiment myself in Printshop and cut it out. I used my new perfect pearls to add little accents on both the sentiment area. I used red twine from the twinery. Pop dotted it all on and walah!

Hope you enjoy my project and please hop over to Cricut 360 to join in on the fun and win a great prize!
This weeks sponsor is really exciting...its My Pink Stamper!!! You can win the "Freedom Rocks" stamp set!!!

My First Handmade Halo Project!

As I posted a few days ago all the goodies Corinne at Handmade Halo sent me since I am on her new design team (yeah for me!) I wanted to make something today with the beautiful embellishments she has. I took paper from Quick Quotes "French Quarter" collection (man is this stuff pretty!) and I thought it was perfect to do a somewhat "paris/love" theme with it. This cute little Eifel Tower brass charm is the cutest!! I almost hated to use it because its just so darn cute I want to put it on a little shelf!! Then I added a beautiful cream colored resin flower. Then added the heart shaped travel Pebble and clock pebble...have I told you how in love I am with all these pebbles!! I stamped the sentiment and layered it on black card stock. Used black ribbon and then black and white twine on the sentiment. I put a couple knotches on each side of the sentiment to hold the twine in place. Darn I forgot to use my new perfect pearls which is also my new love!! I hope you like this quick project and PLEASE visit Handmade Halo!!

Cricut 360 Challenge #10 Grandparents Day

Sorry was gone all day and my post didn't go live!!

Thank you for joining us at Cricut 360 for another great challenge. This week it was about grandparents. Although most of mine have past except for one I do have alot of fond memories growing up and being around them. I was closest to my mother parents and I suppose that was because my fathers mother had past when he was very young, my dads father was a different kind of man. He never let you get to close so I have memories of visiting his farm but most of the fun memories are of my adventures with the animals! I spent alot of time with my mothers parents. My grandmother is still alive and doing well in Tennessee. I made this card mainly thinking of her as she was the one who spent time with us and we loved being around her.

My card is again a 6x6. I am new to card making so I can't seem to get a grip on sizing my items to fit on a regular sized card!! I used Wall Decor and more for the chair and the chandelier. I cut both of them at 2 1/4" I inked the card with Powder Puff ink in Green tea color. The paper is a great paper stack I picked up at Hobby Lobby and its called "Spring Feast" from First Edition. All double sided beautiful pastels. I inked the tip of the chandelier where the light should be and used my foils to add red. I just typed the sentiment in Print Shop. I used my handy dandy corner chomper on the corners. The WONDERFUL little charm that is on the card is from my wonderful friend Corinne at Handmade Halo. Watch for another post of all the goodies I got from her as I am on her new design team!! They are out of Australia and I'm the only US girl!

Now pop over to Cricut 360 if you didn't start there to join in on our weekly challenge and a chance to win a prize!!
