Slider fun

I needed to make a quick card for my step daughters birthday so I could send her money and the card today. Ok this wasn't exactly a "quick" card but it was what I decided to make and it took a long time!
The bear is a cut from silhouette but once I shrunk it down to fit on my card base it was so tiny the strings on the balloon was jacked up!

There were several parts to this that didn't cut well being that is was smaller than it should be. But that is what the hubs wanted on it so that is what I cut three times and had to figure out a way to stabilize the piece. Its quite the science but lucky for me I got that kinda of scientist-y like brain up in this head of mine. Yep just call me Scientist where did I put that lab coat?

Ok so I had previously made a slider card (not to be confused with "sliders" from white castle or nuthin) but I like the word slider has a multitude of meanings. I used paper from Studio Calico "vintage bliss" wowser I love this stack I wish I would have hoarded...I mean saved a few stacks from that collection.

My favorite twine Timeless Twine in Aqua to use as balloon strings (cause remember we had ourselves a balloon string catastrophe up in the house) Then I mixed Aqua and Raspberry Pink. Love me some twine!

Awesome card Scientist Deb :D Well worth the extra the papers too. How did you do the balloons so they stand on their own? Great card.
