Slider fun

I needed to make a quick card for my step daughters birthday so I could send her money and the card today. Ok this wasn't exactly a "quick" card but it was what I decided to make and it took a long time!
The bear is a cut from silhouette but once I shrunk it down to fit on my card base it was so tiny the strings on the balloon was jacked up!

There were several parts to this that didn't cut well being that is was smaller than it should be. But that is what the hubs wanted on it so that is what I cut three times and had to figure out a way to stabilize the piece. Its quite the science but lucky for me I got that kinda of scientist-y like brain up in this head of mine. Yep just call me Scientist Deb....now where did I put that lab coat?

Ok so I had previously made a slider card (not to be confused with "sliders" from white castle or nuthin) but I like the word slider also...it has a multitude of meanings. I used paper from Studio Calico "vintage bliss" wowser I love this stack I wish I would have hoarded...I mean saved a few stacks from that collection.

My favorite twine Timeless Twine in Aqua to use as balloon strings (cause remember we had ourselves a balloon string catastrophe up in the house) Then I mixed Aqua and Raspberry Pink. Love me some twine!

Quick Projects with my favorite thing!

I love owls and I love halloween so this set from Kaboodle Bug Designs called "Halloween Owls" was perfect for me! I haven't been feeling well so I haven't crafted much and I didn't think I would be up to doing alot so these were pretty quick. I used some sentiments from Pink Hippo Stamps and they were perfect for these projects! There are tons of really cute files on the site so stop by and check out what Melissa has. *{Gearing up to show some love}*

The anticipation of this day was just too much for me, I was so excited for this day to come. Its our Timeless Twine and Peachykeen Stamps event and today is my day and I am excited to share. This will be a long post to give you details of how I made the first card!

For my first card I did a metal tape embossing technique for my card. As soon as I selected this stamp set I knew exactly what I wanted to do with it. I went to the local hardware box store and found the metal tape in the heating section where the duct work is. I also purchased some mesh drywall tape too. I cut various gears on my cameo on various overlays with different patterns on them and cut them to fit different areas of my card.  Then I adhered my "X and O" on my paper base, then randomly put the mesh tape on the base too.

Then I cut various sized pieces of the metal and adhered it down in sections. As I did each piece I burnished them down and also went around the letters etc. After it was all complete I took a stylus and went around the letters, and all the overlays and mesh tape to emphasis the shapes even more. Then went around each individual piece of tape and placed pressure down creating a little dot pattern along the seams. After I was all done I went over the entire piece with Black acrylic paint and then wiped off with a paper towel. I added more paint when needed to create the effect I wanted. Then I also took my favorite Tim Holtz distress ink in vintage photo to create a little brown tint to only a portion of the card base. I added some more gears I cut out and some burlap for more texture. I used the svg's I got from Peachykeen to cut out my sweet little Robots. I did some paper piecing on the robots too. I love these little faces. This was truly a labor of love because this was a very time consuming card but I am happy with the way it turned out.

Items Used:

 Timeless Twines Graphite Gray Twine

PK-173 and then I used the SVG files PK-SVG-173

This card I decided to make a Thatch hut and used the stamp to make the sides. I just made a roof shape out of a piece of paper and used glossy accents to adhere to that shape. I did the same with her skirt but I mixed in some Kraft Brown & Chocolate Brown also with the Natural. I used the Natural twine on the guitar strings too. I have a small wooden button from the store on the card as well.

I used the Peachykeen Stamps PK-1254 Rock a Hula set

New Fall Color Release

Today we are showcasing a new color that Timeless Twine has in the store now! Its called "Autumn Spendor" and you can get yours here.

I made a few cute little treat boxes for our grandkids. We are visiting them for Halloween so i want to make alot of cute things to take to them.

I made this candycorn box from scratch in my silhouette program. There are quite a few out there you can purchase but I just decided to try my hand at it. I need to tweak it a bit but overall I think it turned out pretty cute!

The other is a cute pumpkin box and I am not sure where it came from honestly. I have so many files I am not real good at organizing them sometimes. I am sure there is something in the silhouette store like it. Heck it probably came from there because I have a subscription and just pick up files all the time.

This twine was perfect to dress up halloween projects or to make fall projects or centerpieces etc. Stop by and get yours and also Stacy has tons of new items in the store for making treat boxes, test tubes for those cute tube projects and pillow boxes etc. Click on her etsy store to see the updated items. Here you can click here.

Comment on each of  the DT blogs and have a chance to win the new color!! If you can't wait the new color is on sale for $7

Chef in the house

Today I whipped up this cute little chef from Kaboodle Bug Designs and made a little 8x8 page for a recipe book I plan to make....eventually! Geesh I got into scrapbooking so I could make cute books for all my photos and memories...guess how many I have done....well if you guessed 0 you would be right. I started doing cards and then it kind of took over but even that is a big nada cause I don't ever send them and guess what happens when I am needing a card? Usually its last minute and so I buy one. WOW what a way to spend alot of money to make useless items right!! I am going to try to be better from now on but it will take some time!

Anyhooo here is this cute little chef guy! You can get yours here

Today my post for Timeless Twine is not only showing awesome twine colors but really showcasing the awesome boxes, bags and treat containers that are in the BellaCreationz store (Timeless Twine) I am referencing Stacy's etsy store as I believe she may be transitioning to it more and its the most up to date.

I have a variety of bags that I just did a simple print and cut on the silhouette and decorated them up with the twine. I will show a list of the items below the pictures and the color of twine I hope you will stop by and pick some things up for your upcoming treat needs. Stacy has added alot of items such as the test tube treat containers which are so popular and a cute cupcake holder as well. Take the time to check it out!
